Dr. Paluga wins CHED Regional REPUBLICA Awards

Dr. Esamel M. Paluga, a Ph.D. in Mathematics and currently the Director of Planning and Development of the Caraga State University (CSU), emerged as the 2009 Regional winner of the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) Research and Publication Awards (REPUBLICA) last February 2010.
 

Mathematics Department as Center of Development (COD)

The most significant achievement of the college was the granting of Center of Development (COD) to the Mathematics Department by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The awarding of COD in Mathematics to the department is the first in the Caraga Region and 4th overall in Mindanao (based on CHED's statistics). 
 
The Department gained this distinction over a year ago, last October 2, 2009 and will be in effect until October 2, 2014 as per CHED Commission en banc Resolution No. 382-2009.
